It depends on the temperature range your area gets in but 10W30 is fairly decent in just about any engine at any temperature until you get to areas where they've got temperatures consistently held below zero and you're driving in conditions like that for extended periods. The occasional cold snap in Ohio should be fine with 10w30 in the old 2.3. You would definitely not want to use SAE 30 oil (no winter rating), but with 10W, you're fine.
