Oil Pressure Sender Location

I have a 99 Ranger with the 4 cyl engine and the oil pressure guage drops to 0 psi once in a while. It is like the power to the sender is shut off. I'm sure it's not the oil pump. Where is the oil pressure sender located?
Thanks for any help, Bob
