Oil pressure knock

Oil pressure knock
Hey, this be my 1st post !
Anyway, I have this odd intermittent knock from the mid to lower part of my engine, only on the exhaust side. I swapped my lifters hoping it was them, but no luck. They rattled after I installed them but it was definitely a different noise. The one I'm worried a about is duller, more of a knock than a tap or rattle.
Recently I STumbled upon this bit of info "Some 2.3L engines (especially 1992-1993) have knocking on the lower left side of the engine.* The cause is oil pressure problems.* The solution is a revised oil pump and a gallery plug with a pressure damping rod."
Has anyone else heard of this? I read about the same problem a couple other places, but couldn't figure out where to get the revised pump and damping rod.
I thought a rod was knocking, to for the last 500-750 miles I've been rallying the **** out of it (high revs, floored a lot of the time) to see if I could make it any worse, and to my astonishment the noise became intermittent.
The noise is only she the truck is fully warmed up and in the 1000 to 2000 revs range I'd
estimate. Any higher and it goes away, also it is completely silent when it's cold. Some days it's loud enough to hear inside the cab.
Any suggestions? I'm completely stumped, any input would be appreciated.
