its a 1989 2.3 alright did some off roading today when my truk just shut off, didn't bog down or nothing, and then it wouldn't start the engine cranked but didn't stat, so i pulled a plug stuck it against and manifold, no spark, stuck it on the negative teminal incase the rusty manifold wasn't good enough to get a connection, still no spark, ignition fuse is good, fuel pump kicks on, scanned it after i got it towed home by a friend and got code 15 and 14 i need help imeediatly, thanks

 

Do you get proper voltage at the coil pack. Check for lose connections something may have worked lose. Good luck!

 

alright i worked on the truck today, i checked the coil pack while craning no voltage to wither ends of the plug only in the middle, (i was cranking it while i checked it) borrowed a spark plug tester no spark while testing obviously, anyways, took the crank pulley off and one of the lips the the crank sensor reads was all bent to hell, i guess a rock got in there, anyways getting the pulley Saturday, also found out that the timing belt cover was broken off at the bottom so i'm gettign that Saturday too so i can time the crank shaft.

 

and yes i checked every wire harness i could find and all were good, it was all the lip being bent to hell and breaking the sensor

 

If the crank sensor was broken, that's probably why it wouldn't start.
