Icon5 A newbie question about gas mileage in a king cab

I'd like to get a brand new Ranger when my '95 dies, but with gas mileage being my biggest concern I have a question.

Will a 2WD king/super cab with an automatic 2.3L get the same gas mileage as a standard cab with the same auto 2WD 2.3L engine? I know the king cab will obviously be a heavier truck, but does it effect the mileage? Thanks guys.

Yeah it will affect mileage a little bit, maybe 1-2 thats just cause of the more weight tho.

It will be heavier, but I'm sure you won't notice any MPG difference.

I could be mistaken but isn't the new 2.3L a little better than the older 2.3L in his 95 thus making it out like "Rolldogg" said? Milage wash??

Icon12 Well....

[QUOTE=95Rangerjunkie;886654]I'd like to get a brand new Ranger when my '95 dies,

Hopefully they still make them, and Ford is still around for that matter. HAHA
On a more realistic note, i think gas milage would be comparable or identical. Driving style-habits could make more of a difference. I think stickshift would be more advantageous.
