performance parts

i have a dropped 1995 2.3L 4 cyl ford ranger and i wanted to put some performance parts in it. What is the best thing to get first?

without doing an engine swap. and i live in hawaii and the gas is $5 per gallon so i cant really do that

Turbo? Exhaust (won't really be performance more sound), not too many options for a 2.3

would headers and an intake be any good?

intake mods are always good...

but with the 2.3 all I can suggest is clean parts..? I mean intake and sensors and injectors to squeeze every last drop of power out...idk anything else except serious upgrades (v8) lol

Turbo is the only option for that motor. Or put in a V8.

i was kinda joking bout the v8, but heres a link to TRS about the turbo. this is something i'd love to do in the future. pick up a single cab 2.3 and drop it 3/4

esslinger engineering makes performance parts like 268 at the flywheel performance parts
