Coolant Question

I got a 97 w/2.3 and lately its been heating up rather quickly 10min to running temp apposed to 25-30min running temp. The engine dosent go past running temp at all and Friday on the highway the thermostat kicked open. Never seen it do it before. And i looked in my resivor(sp?) and the fluid is brownish. Dose this mean that i gotta change the fluid or what?

Thanks guys.

Yes, and older Rangers had huge galvanic corrosion problems. Change it soon and use the new OAT (organic acid technology) coolants -- they help prevent that.
