Correct Serpentine belt

I have a '99 Sport model (no A/C, 2.5L Lima). I got the Dayco 5060690, but when I tried to get it on it is so tight that with the tensioner all the way in it would still not go on. Yes, I am routing it properly. I noticed that the Dayco is 69.09", while other belts that are recommended go all the way up to 70.xx"! WTH! Can anyone shed some light as to which one is actually the correct length? The only places that have the longer ones are online, and I don't want to waste time and money getting the wrong ones.
