Icon5 replacing sparkplugs, But which ones? 97 2.3L

ok folks I got a 97 mazda 2.3L 230k miles. Aka the 8 plug 4 cyl. motor mazda and ford went in on together. The owners manual says to change spark plugs a while a go and I bet the last owner did not do it since he didn't even change the oil in transmission. I have read that some times a bad plug will cause a problem throwing a code on some other sensor.

The question in my mind is which plugs? I was looking around online and there are these aftermarket performance plugs, but which would work best for my motor? how about the wires? there are "Performance" wires also. Seems like a easy up grade since the plugs need to come out any ways.
What u guys think? any one try this before? any thing to stay way from?

I believe current replacement spark plug for '97 2.3l is Motorcraft AGSF-32FM, this is a fine wire platinum plug
Autolite APP104 is also OK, fine wire platinum.
Any brand you want is fine, but Motorcraft and Autolite tend to last the longest in Ford engines

Don't forget to gap them, 0.044, they are usually 0.040 out of the box

Yes new spark plug wires are a good thing to do.
