Ruff Ride

91 ranger, 4 cyd. 84K miles. I recently bought four brand new tires and put on new shocks. Shocks are nothing special but i could tell a difference, however still drives like hell. Could all bushings be out or need new springs? The truck has been in the family since 93 and I don't remember it driving so ruff. Any suggestions?

What load type are your tires?

I have load D and they ride real hard.

The tires do not give a load type, but they are cheap hancook milage tires. 225/75/14. They probably would be at home on a Camry but I wasnt looking to get great tires. All 4 mounted and balanced for $320. Just very disappointed that they are harsh cause I thought getting more of a street tire would help with gas milage etc.

Well with new shocks and tires it should be riding ok. Check the air pressure in the tires. Sometimes the tire shops loads them up way to much.
