SMOG Idle Problem

SMOG Idle Problem
Hey guys I went to sell my truck and had it sold and all i needed was a smog (required here in CA) i took it in and it didnt pass. On idle it was a Gross Polluter, it didnt pass because of too high hydrocarbons. (unburnt fuel) I went here and used the Lambda calculator and found that it was running a little lean and not getting a complete combustion.
Its a little rough at idle, which seems to be common for these engines with high mileage.
188000 miles right now.
So far i have done plugs, wires, oil change, sea foam, another oil change, cleaned MAF, cleaned Throttle body, Timing belt and water pump, coolant flush, and added a can of Restore in the the last oil change.
I would like to clean the IAC, but im not sure where it is.
Any other ideas on what to do that could help?
Thanks for your input
Zack

Here
Found that in a google search, thought others might like it.
I have cleaned that, but it was pretty dirty, i might just buy a new one.
Other things i was thinking that could be the culprit were
Oxygen sensor, or some other sensor.
I also get pretty bad mileage. 20 and below.
But my temp gauge also ALWAYS reads cold. The maximum its gotten is a little past the cold line.
I was under the impression that there were 2 temp sensors, one for the gauge, and one for the computer. Is this right?
I should probably replace my thermostat anyway. Ill put it on the to do list...

New IAC, didn't help.
New O2 sensor, didn't help.
My PCV is pretty dirty, and i cant get to the little catch can that is connected to it.
I have a new cat sitting ready to go in, but id rather return it and get my money back if i can fix the actual problem.
...
Cleaned the PCV, new cat, we will see if it passes...
this forums sucks.
ford rangers suck.
anyone want to buy mine?
Hopefully this will help someone else when they have trouble, because the rest of you guys aren't much help. Thanks for the one response, it was plugged in and fine. As are all of my other wires.

Can't be much help if you don't give us enough info such as year and engine size.

Looking to ask a question on the Ranger-Forums.com? One of the first things you can do so that others are can assist you in answering any questions is to list your specs / details in your signature.
For example, set your signature with year / make / model / drivetrain etc.
The more full signatures people see, the more likely they are to also create their own.
