2.5L header?

Are they out there? I found a couple on ebay but it lists for both the 2.3 and 2.5. Are they the same? Will a 2.3L exhaust manifold fit a 2.5L?

not sure, nor am i sure this will help you, but you could look into some of the v8 headers, and just use 1 side of it... 2.5L l4 motors, have the same displacement, per cylinder as a 5L v8.... so the head SHOULD have the same exhaust spacing, and SHOULD work, but i have based this on nothing, but thought and logic...

So i asked if it would for sure fit the 2.5L Ranger and I got this responce back....

Hi,yes it will.It moves the O2 sensor from the top to the bottom and there is plenty of wire.thanks, jan

Not sure what that means exactly, or how it even relates to my question......

Search Pacesetter and Racerwalsh for headers for your 2.5L. The 95-97 2.3L uses the same header I THINK.. Jeeez its been so long since I've searched this stuff.

I'll see if I can't get an answer for you shortly after I search soem resources.

I emailed them back about the one on ebay and got this

Hi,it is a Ford ranger header from a 93-94 ranger.Bolt pattern is standard lima engine pattern.Any 2.3 under body header will work on your engine, you might have to add in a O2 sensor with some of them but they fit.Your truck should have 2 o2 sensors, one in the manifold and one in the down pipe. The 95-97 ford ranger header will also work, you just add a O2 bung to the down pipe.
Also found this page that states

All 2.0/2.3/2.5 heads will physically bolt in place of each other. They all have similar exhaust port shape and placement. All cams are interchangeable as long as they are used with the proper followers. Later model (1995 and newer) roller cam followers cannot be easily swapped onto an older head as the valve stem size was reduced in the newer heads and matching slot in the follower was reduced. Early 2.0 and 2.3 heads have the same small round intake ports spaced evenly apart. They differ from each other in their valve sizes though.
So does this mean the 2.5 can use a header that will fit the 2.3??????
