Timing Marks Question
I just changed the timing belt on my 98 2.5L. Before I took the timing belt off I tried to line up the marks. I could line up the crankshaft marks and the oil pump marks but the camshaft 1always stayed just past the 12 o clock position. I ended up pulling the #1 plug and I was already at tdc. I must have rotated the motor 10 times and still had the same result. Motor runs fine just like before. Im wondering if the P.O. adjusted the cam for more power or something.
Has anyone ran across this before?
