Drive it like you stole it. Ranger - 1 > Engine mount - 0

Few days back my F150 starter went out so I hopped in the ranger to use for a few days until the starter came in from the parts order I made online. About 30 miles out I took off from a red light and the gear shifter lifted out of the floor 2 inches and torqued over on me. Knew immediately it was the driver mount so I order both online and just drove the truck "nicely" for once in it's life until the new mounts came. Got it changed tonight and looks like I tore it up pretty good with my John Force style driving. :D

you must've really been feeling that 2.3 power to have the shifter come out of the floor. exciting moment, i bet. how hard was it to swap out?

Haha there's a time and place for everything, normally you shouldn't have 2 trucks down at the same time.

I was hoping that I just had to remove the one nut on top and bottom, but you have to remove the actual plate that mounts to the frame. It's only 3 bolts, but it makes you have to lay under the truck in a way that you can see up into the mount. Also, without the proper extension the brake and gas metal hard lines get in the way.
