Turbo?

Turboing any 4 banger like that is not that hard at all. I've worked on a couple of turbo 4 cylinders that were made turbo. Of course they were Hondas and Mitsubishi's, and a Volkswagen. The most you're going to pay is for a custom turbo manifold. Unless like stated earlier you can get that off of a turbo t-bird.
How much boost are you planning to run psi wise? If you're not getting past 5-8 psi, your engine should be able to handle it with out getting into the internals. You are going to want to do some modifications to your fuel system though, as you'll be increasing the air that is forced into your engine, and you'll need to compensate for that with more fuel.
Sorry, I can't really go into detail though about specific parts your going to need, as I'm still slightly Ranger illiterate, but I do know a thing or two about forced induction on 4 bangers.
