probably a dumb question about sas

So I probably have a dumb question here. Im considering doing a SAS to my 2001 ranger. Im planning on going with the waggy d44 with locking hubs. Im planning on keeping the transfer case if i can. Since it has the Shift on the fly 4x4. will the 4x4 still work? Like will i be able to switch it to 4x4 get out lock the hubs and have everything be kosher? Also would it come up with some issues because the vacuum hubs aren't in there anymore. I have read several build threads and havent found the answers. thanks

The shift on-the-fly will still work but you will have to lock the hubs in first.
