07 xlt lift questions

what are my options for a 2wd 07 xlt? im just looking to fit some 31s and not worry about rubbing on turns or anything. and body lift is out of the picture.. maybe a 1" if i need clearance.. but i just want to sit up a little higher so i have a lil more clearance and to handle some weight(tool box, trailer, welding bottles, and misc junk)
if there are spindles out for the 07s i would imagine i could fit 31x10.50s on there no problem? im on 27s or 28" right now...(im pretty sure)

for the rear.. i know i will buy,or build a set of traction bars since right now i have none(partly b.c the crappy tires im on) but AAL and shackle? or could i get away with one or the other?

and rigth now im 3.55 gears... jumping up to 31s would 4.10s be to big of a jump? i can get about 25mpg now 65mph on the highway... but if i can still stay in the 20s on 31s and 4.10s and also get some more UMMPHH that would be awsome too!

To fit 31s with no rubbing you dont need much of a lift, maybe only 2'' spacers on your front coils if you want to do it cheap but id recommend spindles. Traction bars arnt necessary but will help and a AAl is good if you tow alot. I have 4:10's and 31's and they seem fine to me but if your thinking of lifting higher in the future and moving up to around 33''s then go with 4:56s.

ya no higher than 31s with this truck, im hoping to get an ibeam ranger or f150 and build that into my off road toy with my dad.

so spindles/aal and i should be able to fit 31s no prob? sweeet!
ya once i get a hitch put on ill be towing our boat around and im building a motorcycle trailer for a sport bike and gear.. so i think traction bars will help out on the boat ramp for sure haha.

now i just need to focus on the tranny and keep that sucker cool and workin good ha

yea you have he same suspension as me i have spindles w/ AAL and shackles in the rear w/ 32s that rub a little...but you could probably due coil spacers they just arent as nice to your components but are a ton cheaper...

no no no coil spacers! i hate the way they ride! so spindles/AAL and shackle out back and i should be smooth sailing with 31s?

with the AAL long or short ones(if we have an option with our leaf packs)
which will handle the weight better? ill have a over the sides tool box with my welding gear, camping/survial type stuff, tow straps, and a small tool set in there so that weigth, plus the weight of a old ski boat/trailer every now n then, and then also a motorcycle trailer with a sport bike and trailer tool box on there with gear..

and instead of making a new thread, limited slip or locker? daily driven truck, no major wheelin, will be towing something every so often.. i want to install it, and forget about it, i dont want to have it not work time to time

***EDIT*** where is a good place to order spindles, the AAL's and shackles.. are they stock chevy shakles? and what year/model, my buddy owns a custom shop so i could get the stock parts for free if the customer doesnt want them...

limited slip FTW.

Spindles:

Chevy Drop Shackles: (not stock)

AAL:

This should be plenty for your equipment...but you could always look into doing a chevy spring swap instead, you can use stock leaf packs from a chevy on that there are a few threads on here with more details on that. may be a better way for you to go since you can get stock stuff free.

yea 01-05 spindles will work, just make sure they are for XLT not EDGE/Sport.
fabtech makes some as well, but they cost a lot more. camburg makes some but im not sure if they are lifting as more just for LT...but those would cost even more...

and for the shackles the site says it fits from 88-06 1500s

oh and that link i sent you for spindles, i dont know what you mean by the AIM industries, but I have referred a few people to that site and no one has had any probs...but if you found some for $250 on ebay get those, just make sure they are for your model.
