# 1 tbars questions
what do number 1 torsion bars do for a 2001+ 4x4 ranger? mine is a 2001 with cranked t bars and i was wondering if it helps front end sag. im thinking about putting a custom winch bumper on it and wanna keep my current ride height. how do i check to see what i currently have?

+1 bars are stiffer therefor give you a stiffer ride. If you are going to do a custom winch bumper and a winch I would get them if you don't already have them. To tell if you have them or not, look at your door sticker. Where is this door sticker I speak of? Drivers side, by the door jam.

Carl ive got 1K so looks like i already have number 1 bars. sweet. that being said how about the rears? whats the specs on a k code spring? and would it better to get exploere springs and swap? Rangercrazy07 and i put explorer springs on his ranger and i couldnt tell any difference in the spring height between the ranger and explorer packs. the difference was in the leaf retainer clamp locations

Here's a summary of the springs that were listed for TB Rangers in 2003. Other late models are probably similar:
Torsion bars
(label code / combined capacity / nominal bar diameter)
1 / 2900 lb / 1.09"
B / 2710 lb / 1.06"
F / 2510 lb / 1.03"
Leaf springs
(label code / combined capacity / leaf pack thickness at axle / number of leaves)
C / 2750 lb / 1.82" / 4
F / 2600 lb / 1.64" / 4
K / 2550 lb / 1.60" / 4
