Nissan Hardbody shocks mount up the same and are cheaper than ranger lowering shocks.

You only need to notch the frame if you drop it past 6 inches.

Ok that sounds good but would I need to do the shock or could I just keep the stock one just bottomed out and it would just ride rough and the flip kit im looking at is -5 do you think the notch is needed or would driving it easy around bumps and such be good

Or in other words if I bought the flip kit brackets and try to flip it would I run in to anything else that I need in order to finish this job as in shocks or shock extenders or other stuff

The flip kit is pretty much self contained, but you might run into some issues, depending on your approach to installing it. Removing the leaf springs can be difficult if the shackle bolts are frozen, so assume you'll need to replace those when you drop the leaf springs. You might also need to replace the u-bolts that hold the axle to the spring pack, since i dont believe those are suppose to be reused. Once its all together, you'll need to set the pinion angle when the truck is back on the ground.
