I thought pre-97s had TTB? I suppose I'm wrong tho. What years were they that had TTB?

I believe that TTB = twin traction beam and deals with the drive system and not the suspension
modern XL and 2WD XLT Rangers have coil springs, but no torsion bars
you might find a torsion bar Ranger with modification giving it coil over shocks and they could still be running the original T-bars
some day - god willing and the tide does not rise too high I will convert to the RCD suspenion and leave the T-Bars behind
RCD uses a coil over suspension that is strong enough to keep the front end up
