96, so no torsions. You'r 4x4 with a 3" bodylift. Yes, You can fit 33" tires on there.

Torsions weren't added until 1998 when they got rid of the Twin I-Beam setup and went to the coilover / Torsion bar set up.

Your trucks front end should have beams that look similar to this correct?

yes they do look like that just not as extream to fit 33's you can use a 2" front leveling block if the front is sagged and a body lift

ok i didnt know that put the stats of your truck in your signature so we know when answering technical questions ok...

now just add a 3" body lift on the truck and if you get new wheels use a 15x8 and dont go over a 3.75 back spacing on the wheels you might run into problems

Get extended I-Beams, 16" King C/O's in the front running on 15" limit straps and put 35"s with Glass

1. I think that is a 2WD truck
B. no way that thing has torsion bars - not with that much travel
III. you would not have torsion bars and front coils from the factory (ever) on a Ranger

I like your systematic approach to numbering Neil

I thought pre-97s had TTB? I suppose I'm wrong tho. What years were they that had TTB?

80s some to 97 were ttb with coils

98 and up is ifs with torsion bars, but the xlt(2wd) has coils.

I believe that TTB = twin traction beam and deals with the drive system and not the suspension
modern XL and 2WD XLT Rangers have coil springs, but no torsion bars
you might find a torsion bar Ranger with modification giving it coil over shocks and they could still be running the original T-bars
some day - god willing and the tide does not rise too high I will convert to the RCD suspenion and leave the T-Bars behind
RCD uses a coil over suspension that is strong enough to keep the front end up

81-97 2wd had TIB (twin i beam)
91-97 4wd had TTB (twin traction beam)

both were coil sprung with radius arms coming off the pivot arm(s).

u could fit 33s with a 3" BL but the 2" leveling kit up front helps with ride and handling.

torsion bars were a 1998+ thing.
