83-88 vs. 89-97 Superlift

On Saturday I was roaming around the local junkyard and came across an older 83-88 Ranger with what appears to be a 5.5" Superlift on the truck. I asked the guy what he wanted for it and he told me $100 for everything I need. I got home a looked up the lift kit and not sure why but the listing for the lift is different for 83-88 vs. 89-97? I was almost positive that 83-97 Ford Ranger TTB suspension set-ups are the same. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I'm almost 100% positive that it had a Dana 35 under it, unless they don't look any different from the Dana 28 because I have a Dana 35. There is also a 83-88 Ranger I found at another yard with a Skyjacker 6" w/ the leafs as well (not sure how much he wants). I picked up a Explorer 8.8 w/ 4.10 LS for $75

What are you saying I over paid? If you ask most people around they paid much more than that, plus 8.8 4.10 LS rears are not easy to come by around here. I'm going to see if I can go get it this weekend, if I have the money. I have to drive to NC in a week
