SAS in planning tips?

i have my 2001 edge and im going to sas. leafs. im also putting in a 302 from a mustang 1990 i believe. the rear for now i suppose ill use the spare 8.8 i have laying around and the front is off a jeep probably a d30 is most common maybe 35. i dont have much info on the axle yet from this guy. with the mustang engine and d30 im thinking i may have to run a divorced transfer case to link the two up? or is there a better setup someones ran with a 302 ill be saving a few grand up to do this in the spring so itll be done right the first time. any links to threads are appreciated ive looked through a ton already. also im planning on 38" tires and doing some offroading so maybe a bigger axle needed?

I would not recommend 38s and a D30 plus a v8.

you need a Dana60 for that. A 44 may work but I wouldnt recommend even a D44.

Also you shouldnt need a divorced transfercase.
