My leafs are straight as an arrow. i need to replace them. i found 2 sets from an explorer in Concord, NH for 100 bucks for both sets. Hes holding them for me till this weekend, but i dont htink i can come up with the extra gas money to go up and pick them up. My other option are Dayco HD 4/1 leaf springs. which are 4 leafs plus 1 helper rated at 1750lbs per leaf at 130 bucks per side.
how much lift would i be sacrificing if i went with the Dayco springs instead of the Expo's?
would anyone want the second set for the cost of me to go up and get them. for example-if it costs me 60 bucks to get up and back you could have the second set for $60.

Watch how much spring rate you put in.

I am using 6” Skyjackers (Softrides ?) without blocks and I am still playing games with the shocks to stop the bouncing.

Stick to what ever has worked in the past, at least then you can ask someone questions about what changed.

 

I think the spring rate on these are code F. And the 5 leaf ones are B which is what i have now. Wat rate are the skyjackers?

I have to call them and find out, something I should know, trying to setup the shocks.

The lift is equal to the the SL setup/Coil-Overs in frt, double blocks. The blocks stayed in just long enough to move the truck to a different bay for the Spring replacement.

SkyJacker does not have an e-mail addie, I need to call them.

 

That kinda worries me a lil bit. Dont know which ones id be safer with going. The guy with the expo leafs said hell hold on to them.

$400 w/free shipping.
Ranchos were $200 I think, that along with the lift and Coil-Overs, too much spent just to fit the 33” KM2s.

The Expos seem like the ones to use, a lot of Rangers are using them.
there has to be a How-To somewhere, have you read it.

 

i scanned through it real quick but i have it saved in my bookmarks for when its warmer and im ready to do the install. im really hoping it gives me at least my stock height and maybe alittle something extra plus the new tbars i got from pedro :)
