1" Front Differential Drop

So i noticed that with the toyota tacomas a 3 inch spacer lift kit is sold and a 1 inch diff drop bracket is included so the cv's only have a 2" angle on them. My ? is why doesnt anyone sell these 1" diff drops for ford rangers?

good way to tear up ur cv's. why would you want only a 1 in drop if you lowering the control arms 3 in?

because then you would have the same angle if you only had a 2 inch front lift....less stress on cv's but no its not stock. its 1 inch because it requires no other driveterain modifications because it is so small

The toyota shafts are probably longer or work at higher angles than the ranger's. I know my roommate was able to lift his Xterra 3 inches with no differential drop at all. The CV shafts on his Xterra are about 4 inches longer than my 1" extended shafts.

Well people with ranger run a 2" lift without problems and if you had a 3" lift and dropped the differential an inch it would put the same amount of stress on your cv's as a 2inch lift would.

btw can you even drop the front diff on rangers by installing a spacer where the diff mounts to the crossmember?

the only 3" lift already comes with 3" drop brackets for the diff. i dont see your point.

if you are thinkin aftermarket keys plus maxed bars for 3" there is alot more to worry about than CV angles. once past all that, i dont think you could drop the diff 1" w/o the CVs hittin the torsion bar and LCA anyhow.
