ok, have driver side apart, but not the coil over. Coil is out, but now I can't get the spanner wrench to back the nuts off to relieve pressure off the spring. Even sitting with the coilover unit in place on the suspension and trying to back it off I can't get it to budge. Of course I also don't have an WD-40. I need a table top vice, but I don't want to leave the truck with no one home. Last think I need is someone stealing my jack or jack stands.
Anyone have any hints to backing off the load on the springs so I can get these strut compressors working?

Oh, RCD mentioned that they will mostly likely not be addressing any "flaws" in our kit as Ford will be addressing the ranger in the future. That's all I could get them to say though. So take it for what it's worth (not much).

i utilized the BFH, prybar, and damnit tool in order to get the compressor parts wedged between the coils.
my RCD coils were sagged enough to "persuade" them off the shocks w/o the compressor. it was installin the hypercoils that was the most fun!

It's not that hard once you do one side. I cranked the lower adjuster nut on the coilover to ~1.5 inches and with 700lbs coils this puts my front end at 39.5 inches, rear is at ~40.5. This is front ground to bottom lip of my plastic fender flare.
The work space is what's a PITA! But anyhow, I need to shower and go get food. I haven't eaten a sizeable meal since I had heaping bowl of fruity pebbles around 9am.

That's what took me so long was finding someone with an extension ladder so I could get on my roof. 
no not really, it won't shoot out at you. Didn't for me at least.
I'll tell ya what though. I need some mechanics gloves. My #$%*ing hands hurt like a b**ch right now. Then again, so do my pecks and arms [hurt] just not as bad. RCD could make a better spanner wrench too! Of course I haven't had a "work out" like that since I put the RCD kit on back in July while I was sick as a dog and running a low grade fever. Now that was fun!
