Superlift with 4" or 6" Skyjacker Leaf Springs??

I’ll be installing a Superlift 4-inch suspension lift on my Ranger soon, but need some opinions first. For the front I will be adding the kit components and changing out my torsion keys to the older version (prekey mod). For the rear I am considering two options: 1) Skyjacker 4-inch leaf springs with currently installed 2.5” OEM blocks, or 2) Skyjacker 6-inch leaf springs with no blocks. I am wanting to keep the rear slightly higher than the front for towing and hauling purposes, but am afraid it will be too high if I go with option one. Also, I don’t want to end up regretting not having a functioning bump stop if I go with option two. Which way do you think I should go?

I would go with option two and just get the 6" lift springs. I personally like to stay away from blocks as much as possible.

I'm running the 6" springs w/ no blocks, I like them. You really shouldn't have to worry about bumpstops with these, you probably won't ever touch them anyway.

Not sure how these leafs handle towing, I haven't towed anything since being lifted. lol

I think jimmyd ran the 4" ones on his ranger. Maybe check him out.

I just got a superlift installed. If i wasnt so lazy, I would go with the 6'' springs. Screw lift blocks. The stock 2.5'' ones are horrible with axle wrap.........

I'm just sticking with the stock 2.5'' block, AAL and a shackle. But i'm going to run JD bars soon too........

Agreed. On the summit site they also list them as lift springs for the f-150 4x4 and supercab. They can handle a load. From a hauling standpoint you would have to have way over what the ranger can handle to compress them the 4" additional and enough to hit factory bumpstps. IMO they are stiffer than the factory springs. Could be do to the additional arch.
