Ball joint, alignment, tie rod

My main question is how long do ball joints usually last? I put the fabtech 5.5 on my truck in January. Changed all the ball joints then.

Brought my truck to get an alignment yesterday and they called me back today. They said that the upper ball joints are worn along with the tie rod ends. I know going in the mud lessens the life but it has only been in real mud twice.

So the guy said I’m looking at $900-1000 to fix that. I’m not as much worried with price as I am that these parts are still good. I am stuck at school about 30min from the shop my truck is at with no way to get there right now. I really want to go down there to see for myself that the ball joints are really bad. The truck didn’t shake at all when driving, just pulled right.

I'm just pissed that I may have to pay $1000 to get an alignment.

So maybe this is a blow off post also.
