Ball Joints - ???

I got 107,000 and my mechanic recommended I replace the ball joints.. I'm planning on replacing the upper control arms on both sides. Here's my question, If I'm going to do this and plan on a lift kit in a couple months, does any lift kit have upper control arms that come in the kit? And, while I'm at it what else should I / Could I do?

The Superlift and RCD kits do not come with upper arms

If they do not need them now, then wait for the lift. you'll wind up beating them off for the lift, so why take the chance of ruining them during the install? 107k is pretty good, I got less than 65k out of mine.

I cranked my t-bars quite a while ago. That's why they've worn out so quick..

Next question..

My passenger side upper control arm has an adjuster on it.. I just got the two new ones yesterday and the new passenger side one has no adjuster.. Does that matter, will it still work?

Yeah, they no longer use the different left side, at least Moog does. I've heard they are now the same

###

I actually just bought new uppers and lowers. MOOG units. In 03.5ish, Ford changed the passenger side upper arms to a 1 piece unit. Most manufacturers don't produce the pre-03.5 units. So I converted to the newer style 1 piece arm, rather than the two piecethat my truck had stock. The two piece and one piece arms are interchangable.

Lowers are the ones that go out first usually. My uppers are fine, my lowers are toast. Ive had my bars cranked since day two of ownership.

If I'm replacing these uppers because of the ball joints... what else should I be worried about or go ahead and do?? Lowers, as well?
