Best shocks for stock 2wd

Hey all, I'm back again looking for shock wisdom. The ride on the truck is a bit shaky. I'd like it to be more firm. It feels like a boat when turning and at highway speeds. I had to swerve to miss a steel fender in the middle of the highway it was scary. I hit it anyways I had cars on both sides of me. When I swerved it feel like a ranger sized bowl of jello. Thank god I didn't over swerve. But anyways I'm pretty sure a good set of shocks should benefit me. I don't want a street only truck cause I haul my 4 wheeler in the bed when I go riding. But it's not a prerunner either. I guess I want better than stock handling with stock ride height. Any ideas what shocks to get. I've seen the sticky for a sportier setup but I think that's a bit over kill for me. And keep it budget friendly please. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well like the cheap ones from autozone are like 25-30 and then it goes up from there. But you get what you pay for though.
