the springs give less lift and cost alot more. so do you think i should do the spacers. i mean what's there to lose it only cost 50 bucks for a pair

 

I would say doubling up on the spacers is not a safe way to run it, I would not do it man just my 2 cents

 

my boy josh did it with a 2" and then a 1" on his cherokee.

on one set of double blocks, the top one deformed and slid into the bottom one, defect in manufacturing.
just make sure you get a good set

I'll sell you my used 4" lift coils for 50.

 

You will need more then just those to lift it. You know that right? Drop brackets for the Ibeams, and longer shocks, longer brake lines, different cams to go on the upper ball joint, and an alignment at the very least. I honestly doubt you can stack spacers, very unsafe if even possible. Me thinks it could possibly cause an accident due to one or the other coming out at the wrong time ( going around a tight corner on a wet road is not somewhere you want your suspension system to become abruptly unsettled). Do yourself a favor and save a few headaches by saving your money to buy the coils do it right.

Honestly, I'm a fan of the least amount of lift as possible and trimming to fit the tires I want. I would want as low as center a gravity as possible especially for the "street racing" you say your into.

 

im not gonna lift it, im gonna level the front so i can put 17's on because they would fit in the back, but they dont in the front so i need at least a 2in lift in the front probobly more just to be safe. im thinking i should go with the coils and then put one set of spacers on the new leveling coils, so i would get at least a 3.5 inch lift in the front.

 

and by the way im not a "street racer". just to clear that up.

 

Seventeen inch tall wheels will fit stock just fine, you just need to consider tire size. And 4 inch lift skyjacker coils (coils themselves, not the lift kit) are only $7 more a pair from Summit. So actually you get a better set up for cheaper than the spacers and leveling springs. But with either spacers and leveling coils or the 4" coil springs you still at the least need drop brackets, new eccentrics, brake line extensions, and an alignment. That is just the way it is.

 

also.. if a 4 inch lift wouldnt you need new upper control arms (because you need new control arms for anything 3 inches and up) well if you buy a second pair and they dont work.. ill buy them... but from the comment above.. you should get the skyjacker coils.

 

Ummmm, the year 1996= Ibeam front. So he would need drop brackets for the Ibeams.
