AAL vs Chevy drop's

hey guys so i have a question... i have a 2004 XLT and i have a sag in the back. in the rear of the truck i have a new camper shell, my lineman climbing gear and a steel(heavy) handmade tool box so it it noticably and annoyingly lower in back.i know guys put a AAL or chevy drop shakles(sp?) on the trucks so i was wondering what the pro and cons or each are. and what would be a better choice. thanks guys

AALs give a rougher ride since there are more leaves. the pay off is you can haul more without sagging.

shackles move you axle forward a little since they are longer then the stock ones. pay off here, you can flex more then stock.

both give more clearance and raise the rear.

from what i've read, the ride is rough so be prepared....

when i do a lift, i'm pretty sure it's gonna be aal and pre keys.
