The mounts go into the stock shock bracket on the frame and one goes onto the lower control arm. I think you'd be fine on a stcok height ranger...just get the right coilover.

I think you guys missed Dangerranger01's comment. This brackets wouldn't have anything to do with your ride height. All they do is beef up the shock mounts to accept a coilover and be able to support the entire weight of the truck, since your T-Bars are disappearing. Your ride height is all going to be determined by the Coilover length / Spring Rate.
