So I've finally decided to go ahead and swap my leafs for the chevy 64 leaf set-up. But I have a few questions before I start buying parts.

I have a 2002 4wd Edge w/ 4.0 and beltec 6400 shackles already installed

Also are the 64's or 63's better?

1.) Should I buy new leafs or junkyard leafs?
2.) Where would I buy new ones and how would I look them up? (like which model chevy's did they come on?)
3.) Is it possible to put polyurethane bushings in them? (like a kit or something)
4.) Should I take the stock lift block off?
5.) Will I need new U-bolts?
6.) How much lift will I get out of this?

dont forget you need to build a e-brake bracket, and grind off the old rivets to install new bolts once the front hanger is relocated

 

Always a good idea to change Ubolts when you swap springs

 

How far forward does the front hangar need to be moved? I think I remember reading that the rear holes need to line up with old front holes.
