Who has cranked their t bars 4 times? I have cranked mine 2 times and the front is still a little lower than I want it to be and I want to crank it 2 more times. Will this hurt the truck at all?

I've got maxed bars too. My balljoints are toast, upper and lower. Just turned 44k, all the balljoints and tie rods will be replaced when I get my lift.

Someone told me to get torsion bar keys instead of tightening my torsion bars. They said the ride would still be close to plush as stock, with a 2-3 inch lift.

Is this true? And would it affect my front driveshaft?

I have them on my truck, and let me put it this way I would much rather have my tbars cranked all the way then put the key on again. there is no way it is close to stock my cv axle angle is horrible. When I take a turn I cant get any body roll or the axle starts to bind up, and I dare not think about the condition of the ball joints.

To all thinking about the torsion keys DONT BUY THEM!!!!!

So basically, if one were to crank their torsion bars, balljoints and tierods are bound to wear out in pretty much no time huh?

If you crank them too much yes. If your control arm looks like this /---\ yes they are going to wear quick

With a Superlift unless you want to go to coils then theres the RCD. Theres also Camburg and Dixon Bros lifts but I don't know much about those.

let me throw my .02 into this situation...

if you plan on getting reletively serious about off roading in your truck.. just get a body lift and some 33s.. then save to do a SFA... if you can get conections on parts, and you find the right shop it can be done for about the same amount of money as say the RCD kit installed + gears + tires... i wish i had done that
