For the bracket what kind of weld would you recomend? All I have is a flux welder, do you think that would hold up?

does anyone have more detailed drawings with the location of the bole holes? the guy who was making the brackets at orw isnt with them anymore thats the whole reason they stopped from what i understand. these brackets are easy to make and weld but without the exact location of the holes it makes it kind of difficult to make them proper.

From what I understand the Superlift comes with the limit straps, where can I find the shock tower gussets?

you'll hav to make the shock tower gussets. its really simple to make and can be made from some ground or cut flat bar welded to the tower and frame. if you search other members project logs of the conversion you can see what others have done for gussets.

I looked at some I guess I wasnt understanding the real purpose in it, but it makes since now. Do you think a flux weld will be strong enough?

I would also like a more detailed drawing of the brackets and some specific details about materials. I plan on calling ORW today about coilover options. Any specific questions i should ask or info i might need?

Besides material thickness, what else do you need to know? The drawing shows the bolt holes, lengths, and all needed pieces. The brackets don't have to be made exactly like the picture. You have some room to get creative and change the design.

The brackets were made out of 1/4" chromoly steel. You can make them out of any material and thickness you prefer though. Just make sure you choose a material strong enough to be used for the suspension.

If I already have the prekey mod, will the coilover conversion allow me to adjust to another 2" of lift?

With coil-over's? If so, no, coil-over's take the place of the torsion bar set-up.

KLC, those pics and plans should be a sticky somewhere in the suspension section. it should also be able to printed out so it can be traced and cut.

also, maybe specs on the length of the coilovers and what-not is needed for a person to do this kit on their own.

you also need the spacer thing that goes in the shock tower at the top. It is a machined piece

It isn't drawn exactly to scale, but it can be printed out as-is. That is why it is important that the measurements be there. Ideally, the drawing should be computer generated and drawn to scale. I don't have the program to do that though.

The length of the coil-over's is dependent upon each individual’s set-up. So it would be best to contact Off Road Warehouse or other knowledgeable off-road store to buy the coil-over's and springs. You cannot buy the correct Fox coil-over's on ORW's website anyway. They have to be ordered from an ORW salesperson over the phone.

I will see if I can't compile a list of information for people interested in a coil-over conversion.

i would definatly like to see those brackes made to scale so you could print them and trace...its kinda hard wiht out knowing the angles and stuff...if someone has the ability to do that it would be sweet...

You have some wiggle room in the design. The brackets don't have to be made exactly like the drawing. But, yes, it would be nice if someone could do that.

couldn't you just use a compass? print out the drawing, take a compass and the measurements and re-draw them to the proper size then trace and cut?
