Hey guys just a heads up on here: I will sadly be parting with my beloved 01 soon:( I've already paid for my brackets on this run but I would like to know if someone else wants to buy them instead. I don't really have a need for them anymore so I would love for someone who didn't get a spot to have them. If we can get together before they ship out maybe they can be sent directly to you. If not just pm me and I will mail them to you when I get them. Me2000, thanks again for putting in all the time and effort to make this kit for us. BTW they are the powdercoated brackets.

OMG... I'm excited. Just got all my bills caught up, and I have some money to blow. I might have to be like Pedro and get a set I can't use yet. I'll be in Japan for another 34 months, but who cares right?

ME00Stepside... you're awesome. Thanks for doing all of this.

Also... would it cost extra to ship it to an FPO address? It's a post office box, so it's exactly like USPS. Let me know, I'll go over the funds and make sure I'm good to go. Plus I have a HUGE tax return check coming in soon... I WANT this, haha.

Devin: PM'd. Sorry to hear that you're getting rid of your truck.

Ryan, if anything, it might be a little cheaper. USPS doesn't list the medium flat rate box price to an APO/FPO address, but the large flat rate box is $2 cheaper to an APO/FPO address.

Update: the powdercoater didn't get them done this week, but he promised I'd be able to pick them up by Wednesday. I have everything else, and I'm going to start getting them ready to ship, so all I have to do is put the brackets in the shipping boxes.

OK Guys, sorry for not updating sooner. I had a couple of crazy long days at work, and wasn't able to get up to the powdercoater to pick up the brackets. They should be done, but I haven't talked to him. I'm calling them this morning when they open and should be picking them up this afternoon. I'll let you guys know what's going on.

OK guys, I got the brackets today, and got everything packed up. I'll be shipping them out tomorrow morning. Look for tracking numbers over the weekend!

Still a few sets left from this run. One set is available powdercoated and ready to ship!

Hey guys, sorry for the annoying and new kid question, if someone could point me to a thread to help me out that'd be much appreciated. My question is this:

I get that when the coil overs are installed they go where the stock shocks are, and the gussets are to reinforce that because a greater load will be on the shock towers. But what happens to the actual torsion bars? Do they stay in an just get unloaded from the coil overs or do the physical bars come out and the arms stay in?

I'm sending them PM. Will be doing so shortly. I was crazy busy this weekend and didn't get around to it, but the packages were all shipped Saturday, with the exception of one that was notified because I realized a problem with the hardware and got some wrong size bolts (I was sent 5/8" bolts in my order instead of 1/2". Unfortunately, they don't have them locally, or I'd just pick them up.

I actually had pics posted up in this thread of mine on with the prototype units, but I think they're gone because of the server issue a while back. I'll try to find them and post them again.

the search on this site list results by date last posted not by relevance so sometimes you have to look through the list to find what your looking for. Just a heads up.

There's a few pics in his album with his setup. Not brackets from this run, but they are effectively the same design. http://www.ranger-forums.com/members/2003level2-22840-albums-37-1093/

Got some parts today, Just waiting on my springs.

Brackets look great and I am real happy with them, I did have to clearance the shock bolt holes to get the shock bolts through due to the powder coat.

That's odd, but I'll make sure to check those again next time. When I got the first run back, I checked a bunch, and none of them had issues. Since powdercoat is usually consistant in thickness, I didn't think about it this time.Obviously, the shock bolt holes are tighter tollerance than the mounting holes, so they're less forgiving to a little extra coating.

Your setup looks great, though! Looking forward to seeing them installed!

The rod ends are a pain to get off if you don't have the right tools. You need a soft jaw shaft clamp a torch and a bar to get the end off. Not sure if they are the same fore the older coils though check with fox

Looks good! They might not be in the picture...but don't forget to get the spanner wrenches!

What did you do for the valving on them? They hook you up?

x2

My dealer said the same thing...so he just changed them out for me, but still sent me the standard shorter ones loose.
