'01 2wd lowering advice
i am thinking of lowering my 2001 XL and was wondering what the best, most affordable, way to go about it was. only interested in taking it down a few inches to level it out and give it a lower stance.
as best i can figure out the easiest way would be to get 2" lowering springs in the front and flipping the hangers in the rear.
what would this do for the ride quality?
can i keep the stock shocks?
should i do a flip kit instead of just doing the hangers?
any other advice?

i am located in portland, oregon and would definitely be interested in a deal on some springs. i am pretty busy with school, finals and whatnot coming up, but i can try and make some time to work something out. go ahead and let me know what you want for them and how i could go about getting them from you.

Casper98 - the 4/5 is certainly better looking but i am not really interested in going that low or spending that much. that is a really clean looking ride you have too, i am a big fan.
SVT01RANGER - unfortunately sunday isnt good for me, i have plans with family for a birthday party. $40 does sound fair to me, but i would like to know how many miles the springs have on them? i am not in a real hurry to lower my truck, and i at least have to wait until this semester ends to get it done. i am sure we can coordinate some meeting, salem is good with me, over the next couple weeks.

X2 on the sway bar, i have one on my 06, and had one no my 01, and it makes it more friendly in the curves, lemme know when is good for you, as far as mileage is, i know they have about 10K on them, i bought them from someone that got them new, and wrecked their truck before they got to install them
nice lookin truck, nothing wrong with lowered white trucks...lolz
i am also part of the 4/5 crew on here...lolz

i am resurrecting an old thread here.
i have finally decided to move forward on the next stage of the lowering process. my plan is installing some drop springs and a flip kit when i get some extra time to do so.
i was wondering if @SVT01RANGER still had those springs laying around and was willing to part with them?
if anyone has any advice about shocks or camber issues i would appreciate some more knowledge. i am pretty newbie about that stuff.

You should be fine camber wise with a such a mild drop. You can buy drop shock but it is not a must. I put a 5/5 on my old Splash and got a front end alignment. Then drove it for over 250,000 miles. No drop shocks or camber shims.
Take the truck for a test ride after you install the parts. Then give the springs a week or so to settle in. Then evaluate what you feel like you need.
