When it breaks there's no recoil, it just drops to the ground.. But putting a towel on a steel cable does the same thing, I've personally witnessed it before someone calls bull **** on it!!

So, especially on a truck like yours and mine, weight is a major factor and that synthetic line is wayyy lighter. You do need to switch the fair leads out with those special fair leads w/o the rollers for the rope.

You do need to be careful that you don't pull it along/over anything abrasive w/o a guard over the line or you'll break it that way as well.
