35's?
im sure you've probably heard this a thousand times and ive thought about it a thousand times but i just need verification.....i have a mazda b3000 2wd (dual Sport) im getting 3" fabtech spindles+AAL and a 3" body lift. CAN I FIT 35"S????? and can the rearend even handle all that tire? If so can i go even bigger?

You are doing spindles + BL ? You should be able to clear way more then the drivetrain can handle. I am running 35's with BL and AAL's. I am not sure how big of a tire you can handle. First off do you have a 7.5" rear or 8.8. Don't hold me too it but I think a stock 8.8 28 spline setup is good for 37 inch tires.

Guys, remember he's a 2wd xlt equivalent. He sits about 3-4" lower than a stock edge. 35s should fit, but I would highly advise against anything bigger.

My 4.10 gears handle my 35's just fine, I even towed over 3,000 lbs of car dolly and car w/o trailor brakes just fine. I had a little trouble taking off from a red light at the bottom of a hill. I have a stick so I am going to have those problems. I think 4.10's are the prefect gears for 35's. I am going to upgrade gears one day but only because I plan on towing often. I am not sure if you have an 8.8 rear or 7.5 if you have an 8.8 go for it. You have 3.55 gears right ? If you are thinking about re-gearing anyway you might as weel go with 4.56's for some extra power. Even if the 3.55 can handle the 35's I don't think it is going to be fun to drive. I know my acceleration and performance is crap compared to what it was stock and with 3.55 its going to be worse. Personally if i was you and you have a 8.8 rear with 3.55 gears I would re-gear to 4.56's and if you have an open rear I would put a LS in while you are in there. If you have a 7.5 rear I would do a 8.8 and 31 spline swap off of an FX4 L2. That would be the easiest thing to do find an FX4 L2 and take the whole rear then you would have the 8.8 and 31 spline and LS and 4.10 gears.

So, although you can fit 35's, you WILL want to pay attention to the drivetrain. Most trucks like yours come with 3.73 gears. Mine came with 4.10 and it only feels "right" with 35's with 4.56 gears.
Auto transmission? Better that than manual if you run stock gearing. We've seen one member already destroy a shaft (tranny or tcase, don't remember) presumably because of the larger tires with stock gearing. The load flows back "uphill" and it's not just your axles and differential that see the stress. In fact, they may be able to handle it the best.
If you don't use your truck for much that would stress the drivetrain, you certainly can run your stock gears -- but you truck will be a real dog. Yes, some say the 3.0 is a dog anyway; however, 35's and 3.73 gears you will experience a REAL bad loss of acceleration.
Ball joints and what not up front will be under more stress, for sure. Figure that you'll be doing them more often on 35's -- our balljoints are pretty crappy to begin with which we were told by some, and now have plenty of evidence for!!!

i Had a 2.9 prior to my 4.0 swap. The 4.10 gears were not enough till i added the 4.0 Evne then i break someting on a regular bassis. Trans ,axle darn 7.5
3.55 being stronger then 4.10 mabe but i rarely hear of ring and pinyon failures that were not maintenance issues usualy axles ujoint or something else go first.
