ok stay away from the coils most aftermarket coils are stiffer and make the truck ride like CRAP. ok get a daystar front lift block its the best one out there. it runs just shy of $100 but damn worth the money. remeber you will be hit with a front end alighment after that should be around $130 because you will need cam blocks to adjust the camber probly a 2 1/4 cam but they will know when they throw it up on the rack here is the link http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...F09108F6L.html

yes i am. i have the monko or something brand it sucks you have to literly shave the rubber to make the spring fit the block correctly i installed about 3 of these brand of blocks and told a few guys to only buy daystar there made a little better

Yeah i know about the blocks i just thought coils would be a better choice but i guess not, ill just order them at suspension connection. Ok so after i install them i should go get the truck aligned. Do i have to tell them anything about the truck or will it be just like any ol alighment? And again thanks for the help!!

ya u'll need the front end alligned. u'll need new camber bushings for the front. plus theres a chance the front end will NEVER allign true again...

i would have went with the coils, since thats what i have. but ur playing with fire lifting the front end of these TTB trucks more then 1 1/2" without any kind of axle drop and radius arm drop brackets...

the 2" lift on the front of the ranger with the TTB is still alignable unless there is something major wrong with the truck it just has to use the 2 1/4 cam block mine is 100% in stock specs its not even funny....

on TRS I'm almost positive they have a tech page on stacking washers to level out the truck instead of spacers.... just lettin ya know cuz that'd be the cheapest way to level our trucks, I got my coils for a good deal used but I know i woulda bought spacers if a deal came along cuz you can still stuff those underneath taller coils incase i ever get more lift

You're asking for trouble, stacking washers/spacers is just as dangerous as stacking blocks.

I don't really see how its dangerous, even if you don't weld them together I don't see how a longer bolt that's required would cause any problems. I don't see how the coil would ever come unsprung from that setup

Some friends running coils have had it happen, and on different trucks too, not just Rangers. It's dangerous because there is too much play, too much movement. You've heard that friction is dangerous and causes wear in an engine? The same thing goes for suspension and any other part of the vehicle. The more friction, the more wear/heat/breakdown of elements, and the more of that means the more likely you will have a break or crack or a fissure developing in one or more of the components. So, eventually, when you say bye bye to the pistons and head from friction of an improperly lubricated engine, so do you say bye bye to your suspension when things rub/cause friction where none should exist.

That's definately understandable, I guess it depends on your amount of offroadin, I still think mild and moderate off roadin will not cause any damage, but unless one has experience with problems from such a cause I don't see a problem in doing the washers, but I would say in the long run it looks like they might not be worth it!

I wouldn't chance it. Not saying don't do it, 'cause it's your/their truck, but it's not worth the risk to me. I know I sure wouldn't run my engine with only one quart of oil. Just my experience.
