sway bar links

in the process of changing my front passenger wheel bearing i had a little mishap and managed to break both of my sway bar links. i was just gonna go buy the ford oem ones but then i thought that since they are plastic maybe they aren't the best option. it seems like the plastic would stretch and flex and would just break up extreme conditions. so i was wondering if there was an aftermarket company's make better ones, any opinions are welcome.

I've done both my Ranger and the wife's previous car with aftermarket kits from the local parts shop after the stock ones broke. The kits had a long bolt and nut, metal topped propylene bushings, and a sleeve for the middle. I'm just one data point, but this design is holding up (so far) against Cincinnati potholes. The car was sold >3 years after installation, and the Ranger is coming up on 4 years after. Assuming the stock ones were original, they lasted ~10 years on the car and ~6 on the Ranger.
