new leafsprings

a lot of people have been talking about the 6" skyjacker leaf springs. I have a superlift and I was thinking about getting the lift springs so I would be able to get rid of the lift blocks. I went out and measured the blocks and they are about 5 3/4" tall total (stock block & superlift block). so by going with the new spring it will be about a 1/4" higher. I was told that I would have to crank my tbars to get it to sit like it does now is that true? they are not cranked right now. also my leafs look really flat. I have never really paid much attention to them what do you guys think? if they are bad how much "lift " do you think I my have lost?

Something to consider....the superlift blocks are tapered. So depending on which side you are measureing off of.......you might be dead on, or slightly taller. Which.....the superlift kit sits a little low in the rear anyway...so it'll be dead on(i think).

that looks pretty scary there... if you do get taller springs you can keep one block and get some chevy shackles if you need to be taller still

if you get the skyjacker 6 inch springs and take out 5-1/2 inches of block then the springs are only 1/2" lift springs

I dont want to do aal's and drop shackles if i do it im getting some new leaf springs. I did a side job saturday that will pay for them now I just have to make sure I can get a place to install them( living in an apartment sucks) if the rear ends up sitting higher i guess i'll just crank the tbars a little to level it out.

Know what you could do also......is do a hanger reversal. Flip your rear spring hangers around, it'll lower the back about an inch.
