Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Rear Shocks

Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Rear Shocks
I have been wanting to invest in better shocks for my 99 4x4 ranger. It rides very stiff but has high miles i did replace the rear leafsprings/shocks with GABRIEL GUARDIAN SHOCK ABSORBERS
http://www.jcwhitney.com/guardian-sh...694471#Reviews
Was only like 22$ each and did hold weight with little issue. They can be a tad rough on bumps/potholes and when turning almost always i get a rear tire squeal.
I saw the Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Rear Shocks http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...RPSHOCAMS_____
They cost a hell of alot more then my current shocks $120 each ,but would they improve the ride quality significantly(not expecting a caddy but a little better).
I would also be buying the Monroe Sensa-Trac Light Truck Front Shock Absorber
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...RPSHOCAMS_____
I never changed my front ones and im @ 189k miles. these cost $48 each, But monroe has a "Safety First" promotion valid march1-april30 can get 50$ off buying all 4 at once.
Last thing these rear shocks are coil over type.. will this work with my 4x4 without issues? Doing 3in BL soon would like it riding nice after im done. Any opinions on this set up would be greatly appreciate before i buy them.

Are you looking for a shock for heavy loads in the bed or towing?

I've sold a few sets of these at work and haven't heard any problems with them. Never sold a set for a Ranger though.

-"they will ride rough, they are for carrying heavy loads."
I wondered that too i will be towing with them but not always.
-"Are you looking for a shock for heavy loads in the bed or towing?"
Morely towing got a 2500pound old 66 fishing boat that i have been fixing up to tow much more frequently. It seems to tow it fine really but the ride quality is almost overly stiff might be coming more from worn front shocks. Adding a 3" BL soon id like better shocks all around for stability and comfort. Offroading wise i sometimes do it on my moms PA land or down grassy hills/snow here at my MD house and my fav so far at OBX beach where this boats from. I really am building this ranger up to add 33" tires if possible without having to modify the suspension to much and a explorer 5.0 1 day.
-"$120 is for a pair, not just one! "
Thanks for the info it says each on the site but id hope that also it is a much better price.
-"rancho rs9000's if you want a nice ride "
Are they good for towing tho?

That does sound reassuring knowing there used on FX4 level II's, i would consider getting them also. Ever tow around 2500 pounds 300 miles on em tho?

Sorry its been so long guys almost year wait but.. the time has come. I did install the front shocks without issue a few months ago and there was big change in how it feels driving. Before it felt very rough and uncomfortable at times but now ride's much smoother. The old rear shock still feel kinda stiff so i decided to try and install these Monroe shock/spring shocks and it was hard as hell just getting one in but here it is
we used a cheap tool and compressed the spring some to make it fit but after getting in place the tool was nearly jammed on the frame. With a lot of profanity and effort we managed to removed it but still one side remains. We hope its not as hard as the first side. will update tomorrow if possible.

Ok got it all done! and wow.. it handles and feels better then our 06 explorer by far now. Gives at least an inch or 2 of extra rear ride height. Comfort wise.. on a road i normally would have to ride the brakes going 20-30 because of its bumps feels like nothing to it now could probably go double that easy. I never got to experience a new set of OEM shocks but i know these are my new fav's.
Here is some more photo's
**The front end actually is sitting lower then it appears, in my garage the floor is slightly higher then the driveway.**
