So my leafs have went from awesome to shot in a short while. They are now pretty flat...

The door code says CK under spring, and I'm confused at that... I've read on here that there is a C leaf pack, and a K leaf pack.. Not a CK pack, I guess.

And the code in the far right corner next to the SPR goes...

I'm guessing I have some weak springs. Or 9 Llama's holding my truck up. Either way I need some new ones...

Now, I read that expo leafs will give you about 2 inches of lift. I have shackles and 2 inch block right now. So my best bet is just to get some expo ones and ditch the block eh? What years and package options should I look for to get a good set of leafs. I tow a 14" trailer with my 1700lbs. track car on it, so they don't need to be super stiff. But I would really enjoy having a smooth ride again...

So should I go for some expo ones? Or find s stiffer Ranger set and keep with the block? Could the block have helped to kill my springs?

yes. the blocks WILL help kill the springs!! (as you saw on my truck) expo with no blocks would be nice... or the 63 inch Chevy spring swap is the best!!

 

Yeah, mine are as flat as yours now... They went fast.. 63 chevs give you any lift? I got the shackle in the "low" hole right now and it sits level, so if the chevs are anymore than 2 inch lift I don't think I want them.

Any year expo?

 

not sure on the expo years... chevys will give 3-3.5 inches of lift, and you have to move your spring hangers forward... so go with the expo spring, however i dont know the years... just look around and measure eye to eye. get something similar in length thats not flat!

 

Thats about what I was going to do. Hit the junkyard with a tape measure. Hopefully next paycheck ima get me some springs so I don't bend a wheel or something.. its bad. lol

just keep in mind that direct route eye to eye and spring length, eye to eye, are 2 different measurements... if you want a replacement that is the same as your was before it flattened out, you want total length, eye to eye...

 

Its that stiff back there. expansion joints on the freeway get the back end almost air born...

In a 2-character code like "CK", the first is the code for the front spring (coil or torsion bar), the second is for the rear spring (leaf pack). So, in your case, C is the coil code and K is the leaf pack code.
