Lowering a 99 Ranger cheap

I just got a 99 Ranger about a year ago. I am now looking at lowering it about 2" all around. I would like to do this as cheap as I can.

Sorry I am not sure what you want to now. I have lowered a 74 Chevy luv many years ago by using the torsion bar and putting blocks on the back. It had good ride on it. So I guess what I am try to say can it be done the same way.

Shave the coils about 1-1.5 inches and flip the rear hangar. Talk to Smakes, he is droping his 2" as well. Click Here

Main question would be is it a 4WD or a 2WD? I'm assuming 2wd since apparently everyone thinks it's sacreligious to lower a 4WD, but I'm not bitter.

Also, does it have blocks on the rear leaves? If so, those can be removed pretty easy. Just did that on my '07 and it dropped a little over 2 inches.

As for the front, just get a lowering kit (if it's a 2WD). There only like $100 bucks if I remember right.
