How to fit 33's

I have a 1997 ranger 4x4 super cab and want to lift it so i can run 33's. what is the least amount of lift i should go to run them. id like to spend no more that $500 for the lift. ive seen the 4" rough country lift and was curious if any one runs 33's with that setup. or should i be looking at some other option?

3-4in would be fine for 33's it's either gonna be a 4in suspension lift or 3in body lift

i dont know too much about the older rangers but the 3" body lift will probably be the cheapest way to lift.

do not get torsion keys whatever you do! your best way to level and fit 33's are t-bar crank. which would level it. if you want you could do and a leaf or shackles out back but then you are going to have a slight rake.

well your only options for lift is coil spring spacers, body lift or an actual lift kit,3- 4in would be enough to run 33's

he has springs. rough country makes good stuff. i'd go with that. i'm also not a fan of body lifts.

I really liked the wheels too, especially at just under 500 for the set brand new! they are pro comp 1089 Series, those are 16x8's with 4.5 Back space, they offer the same cut in different finished, they look a little sweeter in the 18'' wheels due to a larger spoke, but i still am a fan of the wheels, this is getting a V8 next tho, then eventually maybe some bigger tires

Save up some cash, and keep watching 4wheelparts and catch them on sale, i got mine for 120 a wheel, with the center caps and lug nuts i believe, just had to find some open center caps for the front wheels

Thanks morris, she is now parked, and the 3.0 is retired, from my ranger at least she is still good.

It wont be in motion again till its being pushed by the 347!!

pics of my 96 when it was on 33s... it had the 4 inch RC lift... i wheeled it pretty hard and actually broke one of the brackets, however i wasnt very attentive to keeping things tight when i was new to wheeling and that probably caused it!! anyways, heres the pics, i think the 4 inch is the way to go.. the 3 inch body lift wont clear the tires as well..

I seriously tossed the Thought of doing a 4bt, but it is alot of cash just for the motor, i had a find a hard time finding theses motors and the price of them just made it not worth doing for me, im building a V8 much cheaper. Dont get me wrong diesel would have been awesome, but so will a 347!!
