Help- front end sway/jump when slippery

Yup, I did everything, found damaged ball joints, so I replaced every thing even shocks, sway bar links and tires and had an alignement done still felt odd
brought back to recheck alignment. All good.
Drives good on dry pavement but when icy the front will drift back and forth.
Rack and pinoin seen tight, no extra movement when the steering wheel moves so does the front wheel. Before I replace the RACK for reesons I cannot prove, has anyone else had this problem.
I'm stumped and I don't get stumped easily.

did you check to see if the lower and upper control arms are tight

meaning when you sit in front the wheel hub ( pull the control arm left then right )

you are checking for worn or degraded rubber control arm bushings

seeing how cheap new lower and upper control arms are these days

i would have just gone and replaced both upper and lower control arms with

raybestos prefessional grade control arms , they come with the spicer ball joints already pressed in

just make sure that the ball joints have grease nipples

Front tires are new and show no ware. Left front did show ware because of bad ball joint but that has been repaired and alignment has been done.
