Getting a lift for under $350 is gonna be hard if you want spindles and AAL's, unless you can find someone selling them cheaply. What size tires are you planning on running with the stock rims? 33x10.50 or a 32x10.50 will be fine, a 12.50 wide tire will cause problems.

What are AAL's? and I plan on running either 31" or 32" tires. What are my other options then to raise the suspension about 3 inches, with my budget?

AAL'S (Add A Leaf) are a leaf you insert into the leaf pack to either raise the rear 1.5-2 depending on which you buy. I have not seen bigger coils, but most 2wd driver's use spindles which will put you right at the edge of your budget. The AAL's run about $30.

Just so you know now 31" tires will look a little small with 3 inches of lift. 32" tires look ok.

^ What they all said. With a 2wd XLT I wouldn't reccomend bigger than 32s. 33s on a spindle lifted 2wd XLT might rub because they sit lower than an EDGE. If you do the install yourself, spindles and AALs will probably run you in the $400-450 range when all is said and done. It's definitely worth it though. Pinch your pennies a little bit longer and get spindles.

Good plan. 32's will look fine. Ebay has it all for good prices. Suspension max on Ebay sells the whole kit. Doetsch spindles and AAL's.

You can use your stock wheels with the doetsch kit. Its the Fabtech kit people seem to have fitment problems with.

If you have a good understanding (or even a pretty basic understanding and you're good at comprehending what you're looking at) spindles shouldn't be more than a few hours. Be sure to grind the LCA correctly though, or you will have some fitment issues (I believe these are the spindles that that happens with. Someone wanna back me up on that one?)

Blocks will be alright for the most part. I had blocks on top of my factory blocks with my Ranger, and I only occasionally got some axle wrap from the blocks. That can be fixed by either getting AALs or traction bars, both of which are affordable. You can save your money for those and get them later though, they aren't essential. Blocks will keep the same ride quality in the back, and AALs will make them slightly stiffer.
