tallest XLT?

I tried searching, with no luck and looked through a lot of threads but still am not satisfied.

who here at RANGER-FORUMS , or any of rangerforum out there has the tallest XLT with out doing something crazy like the SFA swap?

I'd like to see some pics to see where i could get to with some money
thanks

Jared, Rangerboy03Lvl2, has it to my knowledge. 2003 FX4 LII with 6" RCD lift, 3" body lift, and 35" BFG Mud-Terrains.

thats kinda of decptive though because he has an FX4 which is an XLT but i think it has a taller rde height than other XLTs. although I might just be referring to 2wd XLTs which are defnately lower than FX4s

I don't think it's deceptive at all! The 4x4 XLT, FX4/LII (which are actually XLT packages) and Edge (both 4x and 2x) all have the same torsion bar suspension and roughly the same ride height from the factory. The only difference is tire diameter.

4x2 XL and XLT models are the only ones w/ non-torsion bar setups and the lower ride height.

5.5" to be exact, but you can tighten up the coilovers for the extra 1/2" somewhat similar to cranking the torsion bars.

Yea, your replacing ALOT in the front end for the six inches. Seems like 1500 is actually a good deal. Sad to say.

SAS is really only recommended on 4x4's, you COULD do it, but it would require hella modifications..

The only thing that would make it harder on a 2wd is replacing the tranny for a 4wd tranny and puttin in the t-case.
