Im messed up with my truck, need solution. (2wd front lift question)

First lets start with truck

Its an 01 Ford Ranger XLT (non Edge) and has a 3 inch body lift and blocks on back.

A few days ago, a guy was selling a set of 31's bfg at on craigslist and I bought 'em because they were an amazing deal and came with a warranty. But now my truck sits lower than I hoped (had a goal for where it would be before the summer ended), I was originally planning to get 33's but couldn't pass up the 31's. I want to lift the front end about 1, 2 inches because its facing downwards a bit (rake). (I know I can fix this by taking out the blocks but I don't want to..)

Anyway the question is, is there a way to lift just the front end with F-150 springs (like on the older models), coil spacers or is the spindle lift the only way to go??

You can get lift coils for your truck, coil spacers, spindles that's pretty much all you can do.

imo...get some quality spindles for 3"-3.5" added lift. kinda surprized you went bodylift first.

you can get 2" lift coils.....get it aligned afterward. i'm not a fan of spacers.

Most people do suspension first, then body lift.

Depends on what you're going to do with your truck, if you're going with 33's or bigger get the spindles. If you just want to level it get 2" coil springs, spacer are known to crack and just to make sure DO NOT use the twist in spacers if you use spacers use the flat type that go on top of the coil.

going to keep tires.. so leveling it.. spacers seem to be the cheaper choice right?? or is there a way to put an f-150 spring on it like the older rangers?? could you link me to the spacer you are talking about with the flat type, because i slightly confused... and twist in spacers??? wtf are those??

usually...2wd's are cheap to lift compaired to 4x4s.....so lifting "right" is done via suspension. ($500 for lift yours 3-3.5" via spindles, $1500+ for lifting a 4x4 ranger)...so on 4x4's, body usually goes on first....because it's cheap compaired to 1500+.

imo...no spacers unless they are poly. alloy sometimes likes to crack.

Spacers are cheapest, yes. No you cant put an F-150 spring in.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-99-01-03-05-06-Ford-Ranger-2WD-3-Front-Lift-Kit-XLT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33585QQihZ011QQitem Z320285306431QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Those are 3" coil spacers DON'T get those look for the 2" one, with 3" you have to get new upper control arms.
Twist in spacers twist in between the coil, there those fugly little things, stay away from those.

I wouldnt go with spacers at all, talk to some guys that have ran them before and most switch to lift coils. PM RedNeckStone about it.

Btw I went body lift before suspension lift as well. $150 > $500

Poly spacers, however i would recommend coil springs or spindles.

ya read your bl thread while i was in japan and was soo ready to do it as soon as i got back, and i was happy it didnt take me a week to do it
but seriously way harder than what some of the other members say about them in their threads. I personally broke a bolt (middle of the cab passenger side) and that sent me back a day, had to dremel the body mount bushing's bottom plate off...

would the older ones work?? (the link sent me to an 90-96 spacer) i assume all spacers are the same, as long as the coils are the same width.. (which is why i thought the f150 springs would work.. can anyone tell me why it doesnt work on the new models??)

They worked for my brother-in-law but he took them out, which is why i suggest for you to get spindles or springs, lot smoother ride.
The F-150 springs wont fit, sorry.

Stay away from the spacers, get the lift coils instead, the price difference is almost nothing, and i'm not sure about the newer 2wd trucks, but on the older 2wd rangers (I-beams) its less work to replace the springs than it is to put on a spacer.
